This local popcorn is from Black Horse Farms in Coxsackie, NY. It is on the cob (ear), and so will make for an
especially fun cooking activity. Try it out with the instructions below:
Microwave: Place dried ear of corn in a paper bag. Fold the bag over twice to secure the end. Place it in the
microwave for 2.5-3.5 minutes or until the popcorn stops popping. When the popping stops, immediately
remove the bag and enjoy.
Stove Top: Rub the kernels off the ear of the corn and put into a bowl. In a heavy bottom pot with a lid, add a
couple of tablespoons of your favorite cooking oil. Place 3 kernels in the pot, cover, and place over medium high heat. When you hear one of the kernels pop, add the rest of the kernels. Gently shake the pot to prevent the
kernels from burning. When the popping stops immediately remove the pot and enjoy.
