Banh Mi Burger
1 lb. Ground Pork
1 tbsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Sugar
2 tbsp. Rice Wine Vinegar
1/2 lb. Carrots (daikon too if you can find it), julienned
1 lb. Radicle Perseus Snack Cucumbers, sliced
5-6 shakes Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper
Small French Baguette
Chili Garlic Sauce
Form the ground pork into three patties. Season both sides with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the carrots, cucumbers, vinegar, sugar and salt. Chill in the fridge for an hour.
Grill the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side. Check to make sure they have reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees before taking off of the grill. Slice a small baguette in half and open. Spread a spoonful of the chili garlic sauce and place the pork burger on top. Top with the pickled vegetables and a sprig or two of cilanto before serving.
